Will I get a tax receipt for my donation?
Since Rouge Gives is a registered not-for-profit and not a charity, we are unable to provide charitable tax receipts at this time. However, we will be considering applying for charitable status in the future, which would make this a possibility.
How much will families who qualify to receive financial subsidies pay to attend camp?
Recipient families will pay between 25% – 75% off the standard rate to attend camp, based on financial need.

If my application is accepted, what will the subsidized rate be for my child to attend camp?
If approved, you will be allotted between 25% – 75% off of standard camp fees, based on assessed financial need.
Is the Meal Plan included?
Yes, it will be covered by Rouge Gives, if desired and possible. Let us know that you would like a Meal Plan on the Rouge Gives Recipient Form. We hope that your campers week with us will be a positive week for you as well!
When and where are Rouge Gives supports available to recipient families?

Why launch a not-for-profit?
Every year camps in York Region have experienced an increasing number of requests for financial assistance and support for campers with exceptionalities. The global pandemic seems to have only increased this need. Further launching Rouge Gives allows us to:

Provide volunteer hours to deserving and qualified students (only available for charities and not-for-profits).
Apply for Canada Summer Jobs subsidies to create up to 100% subsidized paid jobs for students (only available for charities and not-for-profits).
Apply for additional funding opportunities available to not-for-profits to send more kids to camp.
Create an avenue with the larger community to make camp more accessible for more families. In other words: unlocking the power of camp for more!
